A system sized to your home, not an average
We start with a free survey covering roof pitch and orientation, shading from trees and neighbouring buildings, the condition of your consumer unit and your annual consumption. That gives a design based on your property, with realistic generation and payback figures rather than best-case marketing numbers.
Battery storage and export
Adding storage lets you use daytime generation in the evening, when household demand is highest. We size the battery against your usage pattern, set up export tariff registration with your supplier and configure monitoring so you can see generation, consumption and export from your phone.
Installed and certified properly
Work is carried out by directly employed, MCS-certified installers and NICEIC-standard electricians. We handle the DNO notification, commissioning and handover documentation you need for warranties and export payments.
What's included
- Roof and shading survey
- Battery storage sizing
- Export tariff setup
- Handover and monitoring
Frequently asked questions
- How much does a home solar system cost?
- Cost depends on roof size, panel count and whether you add battery storage. We give a fixed written price after a free survey, with generation and payback figures based on your roof and actual electricity use rather than national averages.
- Do I need battery storage as well as solar panels?
- Not always, but most North West homes benefit. A battery stores daytime generation for evening use, which is when household demand peaks, so more of what you generate offsets bills instead of being exported cheaply.
- Does solar work in the North West?
- Yes. Panels generate from daylight rather than direct heat, so overcast Lancashire and Cumbria conditions still produce useful output across the year. We model expected annual generation for your specific roof pitch, orientation and shading.
- Do I need planning permission?
- Most domestic roof-mounted installations fall under permitted development. Listed buildings, conservation areas and some ground-mounted systems can need consent — we confirm this at survey stage.
